The Paper Club Subscription Box Review

If there is one thing you will learn about me fairly quick it is that I LOVE Christmas!

I love the sounds, the colours, the feeling of magic it brings.

We live in Australia so we don't have Thanksgiving and Halloween isn't all that big here -there's also the fact that I'm scared of my own shadow. We're not religious and I'm an adult so I can buy chocolate any time I like and not have to wait for the Easter Bunny to bring it.
Christmas is my holiday, it's what brings me joy.

So if you want to sell me something there is a good chance I'll buy it if it's Christmas themed.

That is exactly what happened in late October as I was scrolling Instagram. An ad popped up for The Paper Club's November box. I'll give you one guess what the theme was...
If I wasn't already sold just from the theme and the fact that it was a stationery subscription box I certainly was when I discovered that, shock horror, it was an Australian company! It is rare for me to see ads for Australian companies. So I didn't just visit their page, I left my phone and jumped on the computer for better viewing and got lost in the Stationery goodness that is The Paper Club.

Guess what I discovered next?

It costs only $19.95 a month

Sold! I didn't even hesitate, which given our perpetual residence in the Land of Broke is very odd especially late in the year when I am meant to be shopping for other people.
That Christmas Themed Stationery Box went in the cart and three weeks later it was in my festively decorated lounge room waiting to be worshiped by its new owner.

This Month the curators decided to provide an abundance of Christmas cards given how different Christmas will be this year, They wanted us to have cheer to post to people near and far. I love the thought behind it but will admit I was hoping for a little more variety like I saw in photos from past boxes, and what I'll likely get if I spontaneously order another box, and lets be honest the chances of that happening are pretty high.

Novembers box came with:
20 Cards and envelopes
20 gold envelope seals
10 Gift tags
1 DIY ornament
1 pack of 15 sticker gift tags.

All posted to me for the amazing price of $19.95.

They also support OzHarvest, every box sent out provides two meals to people in need.

In Summary...If you live in Australia, have any sort of obsession with stationery and love the idea of getting a box of papery goodness delivered to you each month I recommend giving The Paper Club a try.

(Not and ad...Trust me the whole world would know if I had reached the level of sponsored posts. I genuinely enjoyed my box and have no issue recommending it to others)

Strange The Dreamer

A short while ago an Insta friend, asked if you had to pick a book title to describe your life which would it be. Automatically, as is the case when I'm asked a question, all knowledge of books departed my brain and went on vacation so I turned to my bookshelf where the perfect title lay in wait. Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor is actually about a man named Strange who meets his Goddess girlfriend in a dream. Or something like that I wasn't actually a fan of the book so all memories save for the deplorable ending are gone from my brain. It gets rave reviews though so feel free to check it out for yourself. Despite not liking the book, I love the title and it actually sums me up really well. The tag line for my Blog is "The Ramblings Of A Dreamer" for a reason. I have been dreaming my entire life. In every meaning of the word. I have always, every night of my life had crazy vivid dreams. I don't sleep well, never have. But dreaming I'm an expert at. Just do...

Extra, Extra, Read All About It!!!

If you've read my 'About' page you would have seen that I said My two kids have extra needs. Its such a hard thing to put a name to, especially with every person having their own individual terms and labels that they prefer. However since my kids are still kids and I am their advocate I went with the term Extra as I thought that fit them both well. They are both pretty average kids with a lot of things. They fight, they make a mess, they refuse to eat vegetables. However spend an hour or more with them and you'll see the Extra emerge in different ways. My eldest, Abigail - Abby - is 10. She is also already as tall as me with legs that go up to her arm pits. That is not her extra. Though if she keeps growing it may well turn out to be added to the list. Her Extra is Anxiety. The kind that leaves her shaking and hyperventilating and twists her stomach in to knots. Her other Extra is Dyslexia. Oh she is also Gluten Intolerant. My son, my Baby, is Jasper. He is 8. No he w...
